Our male players stay in a combination of club managed hotels and apartments throughout the town of Almunecar, whilst our female players reside in apartment accommodation in Nerja.

Our hotels are monitored and staff 24/7 by FC Malaga City staff. The hotels also abide by a strict curfew policy of 11pm and absences and tardiness are reported.

All player accommodation is located within a 10-15 minute walk from the club facilities. All of our facilities are located within walking distance of one another.

We have a shared room policy for players who are 16 years old and younger, which we see as an important part of the integration process allowing players to find their feet quickly and encouraging social integration.

Our players are fully integrated into the town of Almuñécar and have truly become part of the community here! Our players are afforded the privilege of exploring the town and making it their home, outside the confines of a campus environment!

FC Malaga City was founded in 2013 and we have grown exponentially since then!

Our club is located at Calle Puerto de la Cruz, Numero 3, Almuñécar, Granada, 18690.

We accept players from ages 14 and above for our mens program and from ages 16 and above on the female program.

Whilst the individual events may vary, a week here at FC Malaga City is quite consistent in terms of football. An intensive combination of on the pitch football and off the pitch strength and conditioning grants our players the opportunity to grow as players! With our full time professional environment, our players will have the opportunity train and live the life of a professional footballer!

We keep our squad size at approximately 22-25 full time players per squad.

Yes! We have played against Barcelona, Atletico de Madrid, Sevilla, Real Betis, PSG, FC Porto, and Tottenham Hotspur.

The majority of our coaching staff is bilingual in both English and Spanish (of course) so sessions are delivered in both languages. The language of football always speaks loudest of all so players will have no difficulty adapting to their new surroundings!

Typically each of our Academy teams have three coaches dedicated to each age group with one head coach and two assistants. This number provides our players with enough individualized attention, whilst also maintaining a strong team culture and environment.

Since our academy was founded in 2013 we have grown from one u19 team all the way up to 8 teams competing under the FC Malaga City badge. Yes! As part of our program and through our wide range of connections throughout Spanish and European football we are delighted to offer tours as part of what we do. With trips last season to Paris (PSG), London (Tottenham Hotspur), Portugal (FC Porto) to name a few, trips are always a highlight of the season.

At FCMC we are always extremely honest on the difficulty in signing at the professional level and the fact that these opportunities are completely merit based. As a club, we will do everything in our power to ensure that each player is provided with all of the tools that they need to be succesful, as to where that takes them is completely down to the individual. Our club ethos is ¨treat everyday like an interview¨.

Throughout our illustrious 10 year history we have had the privilege of watching numerous of our players succeed at the professional level! You can see most of them featured on our Wall Of Fame!

Our full season program runs for 9 months from September 1st, 2023 until May 31st, 2024.

The one month program begins on the 1st day of every month and runs until the final day of said month. Months available: October, 2023 November, 2023 December, 2023 (Until Academy Christmas break on December 19th) February, 2024 March, 2024 April, 2024 May, 2024 *Please note that airport transportation is not provided by the club on a 1 month program and there is a slight differentiation in our shorter term programs.

As a private institution, we are unfortunately currently unable to offer scholarships to players in our full-time residential programs however we do pride ourselves on being one of the most affordable private international academies in the world.

Here at FC Malaga City we are only able to accept payments through international bank/wire transfer.

Yes! Our full season plan is broken down into 3 payments over the span of several months. The half season plans are broken down into 2 installments. We strive to make our program as affordable as possible for players and families alike!

All FCMC Academy players have free access to our partner gym facilities between scheduled hours to gain additional individual training.

Our male academy players eat at our exclusive club restaurant in the heart of the Almunecar where they are provided with 3 meals a day, 7 days per week. Our female players in Nerja have a monthly food allocation which goes towards groceries of which they cook in their apartments.

We have an extremely dedicated back-room staff here at FCMC complete with player liaisons, logistics managers, accommodation staff, and support staff. Rest assured that your son/daughter will be well looked after here in Spain!

We have over 30 full and part time staff here at FC Malaga City and our dedicated team will be on site to welcome you to Spain and be with you throughout the duration of your stay!

Transportation is provided by the club on select days throughout the season, based on arrival and departure dates. These dates are detailed in your official letter of offer. Please note that players attending the program on a one month camp, or player visits, DO NOT have transportation included.

In an application, we ideally need both a Football CV and highlight video to properly assess your application! We do also host visits and camps in order to get a full assessment on future recruits.

After you apply you will receive correspondence from our club that your application is being processed and assess by our talent recruitment staff. From there, you will receive further communication from the club over the following days as to the status of your application.

We recruit players from all over the world! With over 50 countries represented last season, FC Malaga City is truly a global academy!

Once you have signed with the club and paid your deposit payment, you will be put in touch with our immigration specialist who will assist with the visa process.

All Non-EU players, are advised to enroll in our intensive language classes which are organised alongside our full-time football program. This course is needed in order to qualify for the student visa which allows Non EU players to stay for programs in excess of 3 months.
